As you conduct your estate planning, it's very easy to remember the YWCA Salem in your plans. Your attorney can help assure that your wishes are carried out and your beneficiaries' needs are met, while protecting your estate and keeping your estate taxes as low as possible.

A bequest is the easiest and most popular form of charitable estate planning- you simply name the YWCA Salem in your will. You can specify an asset, an amount of money, or a percentage of your estate to be given to the YWCA. Other ways you can remember the YWCA in your estate plans include stock transfers, life insurance, gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, or gifts of land and other real estate. As always, gifts to the YWCA Salem are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

When notified about your bequest, the YWCA adds your name to the Heritage Society. Gifts left to the YWCA have benefited countless women, children and families who need our services. You can make a special designation, such as funding childcare scholarships or helping sustain our women's self-sufficiency program.
